LES 2nd grade to Sunny Side Pumpkin Patch has been rescheduled to next Thursday, October 10.
Making math fun? Mrs. Wolting's class plays Chutes and Ladders only to solve fraction problems to stay in the space they move. Yes, math is fun!


Mr. Lee’s 7th grade astronomy class got the excited experience of launching model rockets that they built and tested today after seeing a great presentation of Dr. Goddard’s Lab from the Cosmosphere yesterday!

Almost finished! The picnic table built by our production welding students, Kohl, Jerry, and Jordan, will be placed at Mettner Field paid for by the Luck Memorial. Still needs a paint job and then it will be installed! Great work from a group of very talented students!
LES parents, reminder with the cooler temperatures to dress students accordingly. The homecoming parade is tomorrow and students will be dismissed in their classes to attend, they will be walking they need to be dressed appropriately for the weather.
Thank you to the Cross Country team for coming out and greeting students this morning. Although we did not get a picture, LES appreciates their support.
JH CC at Beloit is cancelled tomorrow, Thursday, October 3rd. HS CC races begin at 4 pm with Varsity Girls. Boys varsity to follow with HS JV combined after that.
Due to lack of interest, the Dodgeball tournament has been cancelled.
Today we celebrate our maintenance and custodial crew - they are the first to arrive and the last to leave and keep our schools clean and in great shape! Thanks for all you do!

The JV FB game that was scheduled for Monday 10/7 has now been canceled due to injuries and low numbers of kids.
The Kansas Cosmosphere and Dr. Goddard's Lab came to LES today to present a program to the 5th/6th grade students on rockets. This program was provided through the generosity of the Dane G. Hansen foundation.
Attn LES Parents: Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 28-Nov. 1. Students will have the following dress up days:
M-Pajama Day-bring your favorite stuffed animal, parents please send tennis shoes for the playground.
T-Fake Injury Day-No crutches please
W-Wacky Wednesday, wear your LES family color and dress wacky.
TH-Orange You Glad to be Drug Free-Wear orange, and bring your Halloween costume to school, students will change into them later in the day.
F-Wear your favorite team colors or attire.
To celebrate Homecoming, Lincoln student athletes have visited LES to meet and greet students in the morning as they walk in the door and spend time with them. Thank you to Cheerleaders and the Volleyball team. One more reason there is a lot to love about Lincoln schools!
Reminder. Next week is Spirit Week at LJSHS. Community members are encouraged to participate. Email STUCO@usd298.com by 3 pm. Winners will be announced at the pep rally on Friday at LES. Parade starts at 2 pm and the pep rally is at LES following the parade. The crowning is at 5:45 pm at Mettner Field.
